JOB FUNCTION:       Efficient operation of shipping warehouse to ensure highest quality and correct quantity of material shipped.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB ACTIVITIES:

1. Must have a good understanding of SOES (Sample Order Entry System) and apply knowledge to preparing sample shipments.  

2. Must be hazmat certified.  

3. Pull orders.  Skids must be properly stacked and wrapped after shipment.  Follow all special instructions on picking ticket.  

4. Possess the ability to quote FCL, LCL and truckload capacity and communicate this information to customer service in an efficient and timely manner.  

5. Prepare small package orders (Domestic, International and Hazmat) using the UPS/FedEx and BACICS systems.  

6. Must maintain a minimum of 99% accuracy.  

7. Complete all information on domestic and international picking tickets. Print correct BOL and Pallet tags and ensure all information is accurate/correct.  

8. Load trucks/containers both international and domestic.  Ensure driver signs for pieces on acceptance of freight.  

9. Operate forklift and electric pallet truck.  Do performance checks daily.  Notify supervisor of any mechanical problems with equipment.  

10. Ensure accuracy of sign-out sheets.  When product is removed or added to inventory, accurately record the information in the sign-out log.  

11. Assist in the receiving of finished goods into stock by doing a physical and visual check looking for damaged products, correct product name, finished goods part number, packaging and quantity received. Assist in the repacking of all damaged cartons when possible.    

12. Unload company truck and Madison moving trailers, receive finished goods into stock by doing a physical and visual check looking for damaged products, correct product name, finished-goods part number, packaging, and quantity received.  Repack all of the damaged cartons.  

13.  Put away finished goods while accurately completing move sheets, rotate stock as new items are received and shipped ensuring efficient cycling of inventory.  

14. Assist with the inventory process of the finished goods warehouse (verify quantity and product codes), once monthly (last workday of month until finished) to maintain accurate product inventory levels.  

15. Continually gain thorough knowledge of all Bell and Motomco products, their related packaging, marking requirements and proper packaging procedures.

16. Maintain accurate, legible and organized shipping records.  

17. Be familiar with and follow safety rules and procedures including safety wear and emergency procedures.  

18. Maintain a neat, orderly and clean department and work environment.  

19. Mandatory over-time may be required to meet shipment deadlines.  

20.  Assist with training of new personnel and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3 years previous warehouse experience required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Good organization, communication and basic math skills are required.  Must have a solid attention to detail.  Must also be able to work with minimum supervision.
