Fire Project Manager

What you will do As an Installation Supervisor in the Johnson Controls Fire Installation department, you will serve as the branch leader responsible for driving the successful delivery of all installation projects. You will oversee the coordination of personnel and materials to ensure timely and accurate completion of electronic system installations. You will lead the execution of business strategies, guiding and coaching your team to meet customer expectations and achieve financial goals. Your leadership will be key in fostering strong relationships and ensuring operational excellence across all installation activities. Role Responsibilities Revenue Responsibility – implementing plans, programs and processes designed to meet and exceed corporate goals and objectives of the Installation business including revenue and profitability. Customer Satisfaction – maintaining effective customer communications, building solid customer relationships, ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled, and quickly resolving customer complaints concerning installation and collection issues. Productivity Improvement – setting fair and effective performance measurements that motivate technicians to achieve or exceed assigned goals. Safety Compliance – ensuring employees comply with corporate safety programs, completing safety training, conducting accident investigations, and performing monthly job site inspections. Technician Support – providing 24/7 on‑call services, assisting the answering service with customer issues, directing routing, providing after‑hours phone and field technical support, managing daily operation of fleet vehicles, and giving day‑to‑day direction to the work crew. Field Installation – installing, servicing, and programming installation project equipment per design and specifications; ensuring safety, cleaning up debris, verifying schedules with customers, testing operation, reading building/electrical blueprints, coordinating with Project Coordinators and contractors, coaching less experienced installers, planning, scheduling, supervising and controlling installations, partnering with sales during pre‑bid, and managing field resources to align with project needs and customer obligations. What we look for Demonstrated supervisory/leadership abilities, including training, team building, presentation and negotiation skills, district administration, and effective interaction with internal and external customers. Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a Business or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5‑10 years’ experience in a Fire Alarm installation environment; minimum 5+ years of field experience. Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company requirements. Preferred NICET LevelII Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (must be able to obtain certification within the designated timeframe). Compensation Hiring salary range: $76,100–104,000, subject to education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data.
