Production Cleanup and Support Assistant

Primary Responsibilities Continuously remove trash, packaging, cutoffs, debris, and other waste from active work areas throughout the day. Sweep and clean production bays, shop areas, walkways, exits, material-access paths, and shared workspaces. Prevent debris and unnecessary materials from accumulating around active crews. Maintain trash and scrap containers. Separate reusable materials from waste as directed. Keep walkways, exits, work platforms, and access areas clear. Clean and reset work areas as construction progresses from one phase to another. Assist with cleaning and resetting production bays between units. Collect tools and equipment as tasks are completed or work areas change. Return tools and equipment to their assigned storage locations. Collect and account for tools at the end of the workday. Check cordless-tool batteries and maintain an organized charging area. Charge and rotate batteries so tools remain ready for use. Help lay out commonly needed tools and basic equipment as directed. Identify and report missing, damaged, or unsafe tools and equipment. Retrieve tools, materials, and supplies for onsite crews when requested. Assist with basic material movement and delivery-area preparation. Provide support to production, fabrication, and custom-construction personnel as priorities require. Complete other assigned support tasks after cleanup and tool responsibilities are under control. Perform other safe shop and production duties within the general scope of the position. Qualifications Dependable attendance and consistent work habits. Willingness and ability to remain active throughout the workday. Ability to recognize cleanup needs and act without waiting for repeated instructions. Ability to manage recurring responsibilities while responding to changing priorities. Basic familiarity with common hand and power tools is preferred. Ability or willingness to learn tool names, storage locations, and battery systems. Ability to follow instructions and communicate problems clearly. Good organization and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Construction, warehouse, shop, landscaping, custodial, or general-labor experience is helpful but not required. Dakota Cabins of Texas LLC
