Operations Manager

Overview Base pay range : $95,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr. This range is provided by STAR Dynamics Corporation. Position Reports to: Vice President, Operations Brief Description of Position The Operations Manager will manage the acquisition and manufacturing of goods and services required to assure on-time deliveries which satisfy program, engineering and operational needs. The Operations Manager is responsible for communication and relationship between STAR Dynamics and its suppliers. This position is also responsible for Shipping/Receiving/Inventory control, and some facilities management. Duties / Responsibilities Supervise all manufacturing, supply chain, and ship/stock/receive activities Negotiate best possible prices and delivery dates Control inventory levels and accuracy Plan and release kits for manufacturing Coordinate all shipping of product Assure manufacturing resources are assigned and functional Deal with contractors performing facilities construction and repair Education and Experience Preferred Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or Finance. Required Experience : Minimum 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in low volume, high complexity electronics manufacturing Experience with MRO procurement demands Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of International shipping requirements Preferred Qualifications Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation. Physical/Visual/Mental Requirements The position may require lifting of up to 50lbs unassisted.
