Dental Assistant

Location: Pewaukee, WI 53072 | Full-Time Pewaukee Dental is looking for a skilled, compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team and help us continue delivering the kind of care our patients trust and return to year after year. Clinical Responsibilities Provide expert chairside assistance to Dr. Taw and Dr. Hoffins across a full range of procedures in our two-doctor practice Assist across our complete scope of services: preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, family dentistry, implant restorations, oral surgery, wisdom tooth extractions, periodontal (gum) disease treatment, laser dentistry, clear aligner treatment, mouth guards, and emergency dentistry Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral images in compliance with Wisconsin state regulations Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols Set up operatories and ensure all instruments, materials, and equipment are fully prepared before every appointment Ensure patient comfort and provide calm, reassuring support throughout every phase of treatment Take dental impressions and assist with lab tasks as directed Provide after treatment instructions and patient education on oral hygiene and home care Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in full compliance with HIPAA Administrative Support (as needed) Welcome patients and assist with check-in and check-out Schedule and confirm appointments using practice management software Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries professionally and warmly Support billing, supply ordering, and additional office tasks as directed What Makes You a Great Fit Wisconsin Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential preferred Completion of an approved radiation safety course and radiography training required per Wisconsin state regulations Current CPR certification required Experience as a dental assistant preferred Calm, patient focused presence that puts patients of all ages and anxiety levels at ease from the moment they walk in Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues alike Exceptional attention to detail in operatory setup, clinical protocols, and documentation Proficient with dental practice management software and digital radiography Self-managing work ethic Ability to multitask confidently and efficiently in a busy, two doctor environment Dependable, punctual, and adaptable attitude Positive, collaborative team player who contributes to a welcoming and professional practice culture What We Offer Health and welfare benefits package 401(k) with employer match Paid time off Paid life insurance Access to a full suite of elective benefits Laser dentistry technology in a recently renovated office Broad clinical exposure across a two doctor practice serving Pewaukee and Waukesha A warm, team-oriented culture built on genuine care for patients and colleagues alike Pewaukee Dental is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees and patients. #J-18808-Ljbffr
