Infant/ Toddler Assistant Teacher (9am - 6pm)

Beth El Early Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Preschool Teacher in the Infant/Toddler Rooms to support our Lead Teacher in creating a joyful, safe, and developmentally rich experience for young children Role Overview As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will support classroom instruction, daily routines, and the social-emotional growth of young children in a collaborative, values-driven environment. This is a 9am - 6pm schedule. Key Responsibilities Assist with implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities. Support daily care routines including feeding, napping, diapering/toileting, and hygiene. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Observe and support children’s developmental milestones. Encourage positive behavior, independence, and self-confidence. Communicate effectively with families and team members. Essential Physical Functions These physical requirements are considered essential functions of the position. Ability to lift, carry, and support up to 50 pounds. Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, and sitting on the floor to engage with children at their level. Active participation in indoor and outdoor classroom activities. Requirements Qualifications Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children. Completion of Introductory Childcare Training (45 hours) or willingness to obtain. CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.Must meet all applicable state and local licensing requirements. Skills and Attributes Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate educational practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Flexibility, creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young children. Familiarity with Jewish culture and traditions is a plus. Background Screening and Compliance Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug test and Level II background screening.
