Pharmacy Technician I- Pharmacy Department Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Plano - 6200 West Parker Road TX 75093-7914 Work hours: PRN- rotating shifts, two weekends a month Department highlights: We have a high level of safety with experienced staff. 24/7 pharmacist and technician coverage of a 386-bed facility managing 4 facilities (Texas Health Neighborhood Care and Wellness Emergency Department, Seay Psychiatric Hospital, Texas Health Plano Pediatric Imaging, and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital). Pharmacy Technician I duties include timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location. Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards, programs, and initiatives. Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time. Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel. Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
