Responsibilities:

• Excellent employment opportunity for a Research Data Scientist - Oncology in the Foster City, CA area.
• Hybrid position
• We are looking for a motivated bioinformatics contractor to join our research data science team. The candidate will support research oncology projects at the company. The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
• Programming and troubleshooting of bioinformatics analysis workflow.
• Performing the analysis of multiple high-throughput omics data sets, including scRNASeq, TCR-Seq, WES, ATAC-Seq, and proteomics.
• Performing biological signatures and pathways analysis.
• Curation of gene signatures and pathways from literatures or public domains.
• Other bioinformatics analysis in support of research oncology projects as assigned.

• The ideal candidate should have an advanced degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, computer sciences, or closely related fields.
• Prior working experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• The candidate should have fundamental knowledge in cancer biology and immunology.
• The candidate should have general knowledge of statistical analysis.
• Strong programming skills such as R, Perl, or Python
• Experience with open-source bioinformatics tools and packages to analyze large omics data, e.g., TCGA, GTEx, CCLE DepMap, is required.
• The candidate will also be able to work semi-independently and possess effective communication skills, proactive working attitude, and a strong work ethic.
