The Associate Engineer may be required to perform activities such as cost estimating, field measurements, preparation and correction of field drawings, ordering material, initiation of permits, preparing operating and maintenance instructions, data analysis, compilation and reporting of technical data and performance of other related duties.As an Associate Engineer, you will be expected to:Collect data and gather information or documentsPerform standard computations and analysisPerform basic design tasksPrepare drawings and visual aidsAssist on other tasks such as: preparation of material specification/selection, technical reports, plans and procedures, drawings, permit applications, project documentation, and computer aided design (CAD) workObserve construction activitiesAcquire basic knowledge and develop skills in assigned workstreamsApply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established Kleinfelder, industry and client standards, specifications, and processes to perform assigned tasksPerform routine technical work not requiring previous experienceAcquire understanding of professional and ethical responsibilitiesExercise limited judgment on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional workDemonstrate sound engineering judgmentConsideration for Associate Engineer position requires the following certifications or experience:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering0 - 3 years relevant work experienceEngineer-In-Training Certification (Desired)Working knowledge of CAD and GIS software (Desired)Technical communicationProficient use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPointUtility business understanding (Desired)Valid Driver's licenseFollowing an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.Move Forward with Kleinfelder:Kleinfelder and its' subsidiaries and affiliates, has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
