General Practice Veterinarian – West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center Location: Huntington, New York (on‑site) We are hiring a general practice Veterinarian to join our large team at West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center, a full‑service small animal practice with 24‑hour emergency services. This is a great opportunity to collaborate in a hybrid GP‑ER facility with a regular daytime shift schedule and no on‑call hours. As a General Practice Veterinarian, you will provide routine wellness and preventive care, support hospitalized patients, perform routine and major soft tissue surgeries, provide dental care, laser therapy, thermal imaging, advanced diagnostics, and collaborate with our emergency team. Our satellite, on‑campus location offering specialty care for your referral cases at Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care – providing access to specialists in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Oncology, Rehabilitation, Surgery, and Theriogenology. Excellent tools and equipment: Our facilities include in‑house lab, blood machines, digital radiology, dental radiology, high definition CT, endoscopy, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, and more. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA accredited university, or equivalent. Active veterinarian license or license‑eligible to practice in the state of New York. Experienced in companion animal wellness and preventive care medicine. Internship training a plus, with skills in general surgery and/or general dentistry, but willing to take new graduates looking for a strong mentorship program. A commitment to the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
