To learn more about our office, check out our website here: Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable. Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment. Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment. Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures. Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health. Qualifications Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify. X-ray certification where state regulations specify. Working Environment & Physical Requirements This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment.
