Tele RN Medical-Surgical

Shifts will include every other weekend, with a commitment of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Orientation will last for 40 hours. Holiday coverage is required for 3 of the following: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.

Assignment Details

This is a travel RN assignment at a short-term acute care facility with a telemetry and medical-surgical focus. The unit has 30 beds, with an average daily census of approximately 27. Travel experience is required, and candidates can expect to float to other acute care units as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Must possess skills in telemetry monitoring, IV administration, dysrhythmia management, wound care, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams.
• Experience with Epic EMR system is required.
• Compact RN license must be in hand at submission.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, managing any identified dysrhythmias appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record.
• Maintain a safe and productive environment for patient care.
