Housekeeping Assistant

A Housekeeping Assistant is selected to perform cleaning tasks in order to maintain a clean and sanitary facility. The housekeeper must be trained or experienced in the proper cleaning methods in accordance with the health and sanitation code requirements of the State and/or local authorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• The building and all its parts and facilities shall be kept in clean, neat and attractive.
• The safety and comfort of residents shall be the first consideration.
• All walls, floors, ceilings, windows and fixtures shall be kept clean.
• Interior walls and floors shall be of a character to permit frequent and easy cleaning.
• The facility shall be kept free of unnecessary accumulations of personal possessions, boxes, trunks, suitcases, papers, unused furniture, bed clothing, linens, bric-a-brac and similar items.
• Patient's rooms will be cleaned daily.
• Pull furniture out, as needed and dust all furniture.
• Dry and wet mop all floors.
• Clean mirrors, bed frames, walls of rooms and hallways, including trim along the bottom of walls and handrails.
• Patient bathrooms will be cleaned twice daily.
