As a paraprofessional, you’ll play a key role in special education (SPED) classrooms, providing either one-on-one or general classroom assistance and making a real impact from August 25 through May 28. With openings across 22 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, and 5 high schools, there’s a need for adaptable individuals who are ready to lend support wherever it’s needed most.

Your responsibilities will include assisting students in a variety of educational settings, with expectations to be comfortable supporting with toileting and changing, as well as managing challenging behaviors. Candidates demonstrating flexibility and a student-centered mindset will thrive here.

What we’re looking for:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
• Flexibility and willingness to work across elementary, middle, and high school environments
• Comfort working in SPED classrooms with students requiring personal care assistance
• Familiarity with behavioral supports and interventions
• Eligibility with an active Substitute Certificate on the DESE website or having passed the ParaPro Exam (plus transcripts on file)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and fellow staff

Your schedule will match the needs of the school—choose between early morning or later start times across different buildings:

• Middle: 7:00am–2:30pm
• High: 7:30am–3:00pm
• Elementary: 8:30am–4:00pm or 9:00am–4:30pm

Pay for this contract paraprofessional role is $20.00 per hour.
