DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Speech‑Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing, identifying, and remediating expressive communication disorders. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assess students referred for a possible speech and language disorder. Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders. Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations. Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns. Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload. Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents. Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school. Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development. EDUCATION Master’s degree or higher. CREDENTIAL Valid credential authorizing services as a Speech‑Language Pathologist. Requirements / Qualifications Valid California Speech Language Pathology Services Credential or Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential authorizing service in Language, Speech, and Hearing. Copy of Transcript (All Undergraduate and Graduate coursework). Credential Copy (Detailed screenshot from the CTC website or a credential status letter from your university with an anticipated completion date or proof of credential application.
