Assistant Store Manager

Assistant Store Manager – Day shift only Office closes at 6pm. Location closed on Sundays. Rotation between multiple stores within the district. Pay Range: $14.24 – $16.00 per hour. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions. Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies. Ensure highest standards of cleanliness via continuous maintenance (sweeping, mopping, grounds, interior/exterior). Perform daily site safety inspections, including lock checks. Address and resolve customer concerns related to billing, security, auctions, and site usage. Handle cash transactions, balance receipts, follow up on delinquent payments, process customer payments, and complete daily bank deposits. Protect company culture by establishing professional relationships with all Extra Space employees. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications 1+ year of customer-facing work experience (sales preferred). Current valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (except in New York City and Brooklyn). High School diploma or GED required; college education a plus. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs (occasionally 50 lbs) and perform standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, sitting. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Perform indoor and outdoor duties ranging from sedentary desk work to physical tasks, with seasonal weather exposure.
