This position can be based out of the UC Irvine campus or any UCI Health facility throughout Orange County and Southern Los Angeles County.Your Role on the TeamUnder the supervision of the Sr. Custodial Supervisor or Assistant Custodial Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the routine cleaning of facilities. Incumbents perform unskilled or semiskilled cleaning, housekeeping, or general maintenance. These duties will include, but are not limited to daily floor care, dusting, bathroom cleaning and sanitation, kitchen cleaning, cleaning of fixtures and furniture, interior trash removal, window cleaning, and additional tasks as necessary to ensure all facilities are maintained at a high level of cleanliness. Performs individually or as part of a team. Incumbents may experience a varying degree of contact with the public depending on the nature, location and assigned hours of work.What It Takes to be SuccessfulRequired: Previous custodial, housekeeping, or related cleaning experience. Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements.?Certain?temporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver's License for driving university vehicles. The majority of our temporary positions are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment.
