Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team and ensure the accurate receipt, issuance, and shipment of materials within our warehouse. This role involves utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual methods to manage deliveries and inventory, while maintaining meticulous records and ensuring compliance with all procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive materials delivered by unloading LTL, truckload, and UPS/FedEx shipments using forklift, pallet jack, or manually.
• Verify delivery address, pallet or box count, and inspect for obvious damage before signing the Bill of Lading.
• Ensure physical count matches the pack slip shipped count and verify receipt of certifications with the product.
• Accurately enter receipt information into the AMTEC inventory system and distribute paperwork and materials to the correct area.
• Issue material from the warehouse to Production using requisitions, manual spreadsheets, and a computerized inventory system, verifying part numbers, lot numbers, and quantities.
• Assist in the shipment of materials as directed by the Supervisor.
• Maintain reports and forms required for tracking physical inventory and product lot formation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist in yearly physical inventory in the warehouse.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of stand-up forklift experience.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
• Experience with inventory systems, RF scanners, pallet jack operations, and shipping processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in material handling is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and ability to be trained quickly.
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks involving small parts.
• Ability to sit for the majority of the day.

Work Environment

Work on the 1st shift from 6am-4pm, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays, typically involving 6-hour workdays. The building is climate-controlled, ensuring a comfortable working environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fitchburg, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
