Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated RN for the ICU unit in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This role involves providing acute care to critically ill patients, with the expectation to float to lower levels of care such as PCU and Med-Surg as needed. The RN will work in collaboration with a team to stabilize and treat a variety of diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, and myocardial infarction.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care in the ICU, including titrating drips and operating ventilators.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists and intensivists.
• Adhere to facility policies, including those related to infection control and patient safety.
• Read and verify telemetry strips in coordination with telemonitor techs.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required; PALS & TNCC preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred, with skills in drips, ventilators, and biPAPs.
• Ability to pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
