Mental Health First Aid Outreach Coordinator

The Mental Health First Aid Outreach/Coordinator will:

• Be responsible for increasing awareness and trainings of Mental Health First Aid throughout Liberty, Montgomery, and Walker counties.
• Answer directly to the Director of Strategic Development and will work in closely with agency Mental Health First Aid Trainers to ensure all trainers meet the minimum annual requirements to maintain their trainer certification.
• Be responsible for the administrative oversight of the HHSC Mental Health First Aid contract; including contract compliance, and financial and budget management.
• Develop strong partnerships with area Educational Service Centers, colleges, universities, non-profits, hospitals, community leaders, and first responders to provide MHFA trainings, and increase the number of trainings annually.
• Be a liaison between TCBHC and the community and must represent TCBHC at the highest level of professionalism.
• Responsible for other duties related to MHFA as assigned

This position will require a minimum of 50% travel; with occasional overnight stays

What you will need:

• Master's Degree in psychology, social work or related field.
• Licensed in the State of Texas as LPC-A, LMSW or LMFT-A. (Will consider a non-licensed under-graduate degree in social services with at least 1 year of related work experience.)
• Must complete certification in Mental Health First Aid for both adult and youth within 3 months of hire.
• A valid Driver's License and be insurable through Tri-County.

The ideal candidate must:

• Be comfortable speaking in front of large groups, be very organized and have the ability to work independently.
• Have public speaking and training experience, and above average written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess an above average understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Be able understand and use SharePoint.
• Have the ability to work well independently with professionals, educators, service organizations, community leaders, clergy, and law enforcement.
• Be available for some evenings and weekend hours.

Payscale:

Hourly rate: $26.87

Annual equivalent: $55,895

Non-licensed:

Hourly rate: $24.43

Annual equivalent: $50,822
