Customer Service Courier - Mail & Print Services

Courier Ensures customers' satisfaction by making pick‑ups and deliveries in a proficient and timely manner. This position reports directly to the Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Assistant Site Manager, depending on site personnel configuration. Job Duties and Responsibilities Delivers messages, telegrams, documents, packages, and other items to business establishments. Travels to delivery sites on foot, by bicycle, automobile, or public conveyance. Keeps log of items received and delivered. Obtains receipts for articles delivered. Follows appropriate chain of custody protocols (e.g., TRAC). Services vehicle driven, such as checking fluid levels and replenishing fuel. Performs pick‑up and delivery of jobs by accurately following a map and/or written instructions. Follows RICOH Service Excellence performance requirements. Maintains compliance with state and company standards by operating a vehicle safely and following company guidelines in the event of an accident or injury. Responds to client requests, ensuring order accuracy and timely delivery with paperwork completed accurately and legibly. Presents professional appearance to clients by dressing in professional attire according to company standards. Communicates vehicle safety by maintaining routine maintenance on all delivery vehicles (oil change, tire rotation, etc.) according to company specifications. Meets company attendance standards by reporting to work punctually and working all scheduled hours, including required overtime. Performs other duties as assigned. Works independently, making sound decisions with the needs of the customer and business in mind. Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications) High school diploma or equivalent is required. Valid state driver's license and driving record that meets company standards. Experience with electronic communication devices and teamwork. Technical ability: computers, email, basics, TRAC. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good customer service and communication skills. Ability to read maps, follow written instructions and complete paperwork accurately; good reading comprehension. Professional appearance and demeanor. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively individually or in a team environment. Competency in performing multiple functional tasks. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Critical thinking and decision‑making skills. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands Couriers spend most of their time alone, delivering and are usually not closely supervised. Those who deliver by bicycle are exposed to all weather conditions and hazards associated with heavy traffic. Car, van, and truck couriers must sometimes carry heavy loads, either manually or with the aid of a hand truck. Difficulty with parking situations, traffic jams, and road construction. Office days are typically in an environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and normal temperature and noise levels based on geographic location. Work assignments are diversified, requiring interpretation, comprehension, and application of complex material and data, preparation, provision, and conveyance of diversified information. Work requires walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that can weigh as much as 50 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files, small parts). Requires moderate dexterity and regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination).
