Putting the 'Rock' in 'Hard Rock', guests are invited to experience the legends of music by exploring Hard Rock's expansive memorabilia collection with iconic pieces from SLASH to Johnny Cash!Job SummaryThe Bartender is responsible for providing excellent guest service by preparing cocktails and beverages for guests and servers.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesTakes beverage orders from customers and checks identification to verify age requirementsPromotes brands and products to increase salesPrepares cocktails and beverages for guests and cocktail servers according to recipes and specificationsPerforms set up and breakdown of bar area as well as side work and projects as neededMaintains the appearance and cleanliness of the bar/work area in accordance with company and health department standards by arranging bottle displays, sweeping, wiping counter tops, removing trash, etc.Assists with inventory control, stocking, and proper rotation of productPerforms responsible alcohol service with regards to guest limitationsCompletes monetary transaction using a point-of-sale system by maintaining cash drawer, accepting cash or card for payment, returning correct change, etc.Maintains knowledge of all menu items and prices as well as related regulations for drink preparation and storagePerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Skills And AbilitiesExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented and thorough with strong organizational and time management skillsStrong and accurate money handling skillsAbility to work under stress in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcoholKnowledge of all bar equipment, cash register, and company beverage system as well as wines, alcohol, and mixed drinksEducation And ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredRelevant work experience in mixing a variety of alcoholic beveragesMust obtain valid gaming license, where applicablePhysical Requirements & Working ConditionsThe employee is required to stand for the duration of the shift.
