Concrete Finisher / Form Setter

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Concrete Finishers / Form Setters for upcoming commercial construction projects in Green Bay, Appleton, Wisconsin Rapids, and Manitowoc, WI . Candidates should have at least 3 years of concrete finishing and/or form setting experience working on commercial projects such as curbs, sidewalks, parking lots, slabs, foundations, and other concrete structures .

Pay: Up to $40/hour, based on experience and skill level.

Concrete Finisher / Form Setter Responsibilities:

• Set, build, brace, and align concrete forms to required dimensions, elevations, and grades

• Measure and lay out formwork according to blueprints and project specifications

• Prepare work areas and forms prior to concrete placement

• Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete

• Finish concrete for curbs, sidewalks, parking lots, slabs, foundations, and other commercial applications

• Use hand and power tools to screed, float, edge, trowel, and finish concrete

• Strip and remove forms after concrete has properly cured

• Apply curing compounds and other treatments as required

• Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, elevations, and project specifications

• Ensure completed formwork and concrete meet project specifications and quality standards

• Work safely and efficiently with other trades and members of the construction team

Concrete Finisher / Form Setter Qualifications:

• 3+ years of concrete finishing and/or form setting experience

• Commercial concrete construction experience preferred

• Experience building, setting, bracing, and stripping concrete forms

• Knowledge of concrete placement, leveling, and finishing techniques

• Ability to work to proper grade, elevation, and measurements

• Ability to read blueprints and project specifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Must have required hand and power tools

• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work and work outdoors in varying conditions
