Accounting manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial processes. This role manages core accounting functions, prepares financial reporting, supports audits and tax filings, and provides leadership to the financial team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5+ years of accounting experience; previous supervisory experience a plus
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Sage or MAS 90 preferred; be able to troubleshoot problems when necessary
• Previous accounting experience in a manufacturing enviroment is a plus

salary: $28 - $35 per hour

work hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Oversee and process all accounts payable activities
• Manage daily cash tracking and cash flow reporting
• Review, process, and reconcile employee expense reports
• Perform purchase order (PO) invoice matching and ensure timely, accurate payments to vendors
• Serve as backup for payroll processing
• Prepare and file sales/use tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Complete month-end reconciliations and prepare financial statements for review
• Maintain and update specialized financial tracking tools
• Coordinate year-end processes with the company's CPA firm
• Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financials for the owner's real estate company; oversee year-end coordination with the CPA
