Structured actuarial student internship. Closer to a student development programme than a modelling-heavy role—the ad emphasizes learning, guidance, and networking over independent model ownership.
P&C actuarial reserving internship in Columbus, Ohio, for summer 2027. You'll work full-time in a hybrid corporate-office setting, applying classroom knowledge alongside experienced actuaries. The role is designed for enrolled college students with at least 60 credits, with one to two actuarial exams preferred.
Requirements
Must have:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program (actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or data science)
- Completed at least 60 credit hours
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week)
- Ability to work hybrid schedule with days in office each week
- Reside and work within specific U.S. states
Strongly preferred:
- Good communication skills
- Sophomore or junior level candidate
Nice to have:
- One to two actuarial exams
- Strong mathematical and technical aptitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences
