Part-Time PMHNP – Maryland Skilled Nursing Facility

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Part-Time | W-2 or 1099 | Maryland Skilled Nursing Facility

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric services to residents in a skilled nursing facility in Maryland.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Diagnose and treat mental health conditions.
• Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications within Maryland scope of practice.
• Evaluate and manage behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, social workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide recommendations and education to residents, families, and facility staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote appropriate and evidence-based use of psychotropic medications.

Qualifications:

• Current Maryland RN and APRN/NP license .
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) .
• Prescriptive authority in Maryland.
• Current DEA registration, as applicable.
• Experience in geriatric psychiatry, skilled nursing, long-term care, or dementia care preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
