Outpatient Physical Therapist - Local or Travel contract! Do you have a background in LTAC, Acute, ICU, Neuro, Cardiac, or Pulmonary Rehab? We are now hiring! Job Overview Fairfax, VA | Outpatient Rehabilitation | 13‑Week Contract | 40 Hours per Week | Start ASAP Schedule Start July 2026, 13 weeks, 40 hours/week; Monday‑Friday. Float between clinics to support patient access as needed. Minimum 1 year experience. Responsibilities Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans. Deliver evidence‑based therapy interventions to help patients achieve functional goals. Modify treatment programs based on patient progress and physician recommendations. Educate patients and families on recovery, wellness, and injury prevention. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and insurance requirements. Collaborate with physicians, therapy staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Support a culture of safety, quality, and patient‑centered care. Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities. Perform initial comprehensive assessment and reassessments; regularly reevaluate patient rehabilitation needs and collaborate with physician and team. Assist physician in assessing therapeutic status and home environment. Assess muscle strength, mobility, gait, and ROM. Manage incisions, remove staples or sutures, and manage incision lines. Instruct patient, families, or caregivers in use of therapeutic appliances. Determine priority needs for physical therapy. Report patient reactions or changes to physician. Initiate physical therapy program and consult with staff and families; explain program goals; participate in case conferences. Train patients in use of prosthetic or assistive devices; ensure equipment in good working order. Clean and maintain equipment per manufacturer guidelines. Prepare and submit clinical and progress summaries. Participate in discharge planning and peer consultation. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants per company policies and state regulations. Provide accurate and timely documentation per plan of care. Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to professional standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Active Physical Therapist license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain). Minimum 12 months of outpatient clinical experience. Current CPR certification. Minimum 1 year of prior professional Physical Therapy experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications Previous successful assignment with a staffing agency. Previous experience working with LTAC/Rehab. Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable. Current CPR if applicable. TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest X‑ray if applicable.
