Local Operations Manager

Dispatch Supervisor The Dispatch Supervisor role is required to oversee the local crew and operations department and facilitate daily scheduled jobs. This position reports to the General Manager. Essential Job Duties Assist with hiring and retention of local crew. Ensure hours are entered correctly in Time and Labor each pay period. Interview mover and driver applicants. Submit background checks and drug tests for selected candidates for hire. Schedule and dispatch jobs and crews on a daily basis. Assist to provide crew for Owner Operators. Assist in preparation for moves; provide packing materials, etc. Assist in coordination of warehouse operations, manpower, inbound & outbound household goods, inbound & outbound freight. Communicate with warehouse manager. Make customer calls to confirm arrival for move. Conduct pre and post inspections on trucks. Hold crew accountable to company policies and standard operating procedures. May assist with orders for warehouse supplies, packing material, ice melt, tools, etc. Assist to maintain facility, obtain estimates for snow removal, lot repair etc. Assist in scheduling maintenance and repairs for forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Schedule fire system inspections. Schedule alarm system inspections. Maintain local fleet, repairs, schedule maintenance. Schedule repairs and maintenance of scale. Scale: weigh items on trucks, print tickets and collect money for use of scale if not our driver. Survey, estimate, coordinate and staff commercial moves. Estimate pricing, coordinate, manage, schedule all distribution projects. Create excel spreadsheets for tracking distribution projects and billing. Order supplies for vending machines. Rate Military paperwork for billing. Assist with safety initiatives in operations. All other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Required to effectively supervise operations staff. Must be able to effectively make decisions, solve problems and interpret data. Physical Requirements Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures: hot in the summer months and cold during the winter months.
