Truck Driver CDL A Yard Spotter

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Yard Spotter in Kalamazoo, MI— offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Compensation Hourly Pay: $29.00 per hour (paid weekly) Weekly earnings: $1,247 or more for full‑time positions Hours per week: 42 or more Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday; Start time 6:00 PM Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days 80 hours paid time off in first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid) Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided 401(k) rollover available now with company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Responsibilities Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard and within designated public road areas. Comply with safety & DOT regulations and ongoing training. Provide customer service. Additional Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines. Detect and minimize safety hazards. Maintain accurate records and logs, including yard inventory. Perform other tasks as assigned. Requirements Minimum 21 years of age. Pass a Ryder drug test. Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check (including drug/alcohol verification for prior employers over last 3 years). Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position. Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
