Intermedia System Administrator (Kubernetes/Cloud Infrastructure) Full Time, San Antonio, TX OR Ft. Meade, MD Secret Clearance with TS/SCI eligibility Overview Semper Valens is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with strong Kubernetes experience to help design, operate, and support our production environment. This role bridges traditional systems administration functions and modern cloud-native operations, ensuring systems reliability, scalability, and security across critical mission platforms. You will work closely with developers, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to support the adoption of Kubernetes clusters, automating infrastructure, and maintain high-availability/high-stability environments. Required Skills & Qualifications 10 years of IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms. With two years proficient understanding of maintenance (patching, STIG, and upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructure IAT-Level-II Certified Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration and development best practices in AWS Demonstrated experience in managing and adopting Kubernetes in production environments Ability to deploy, manage, and support Kubernetes clusters Experience operating and maintaining containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes Experience managing Kubernetes resources including namespaces, deployments, services, ingress, and storage Experience with container technologies (Docker) Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Linux Demonstratable experience with Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Vault, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Kustomize Required Certifications IAT Level II – Security+ & CISSP Desired Qualifications AWS Solutions Architect certification AWS SysOps Administrator certification Red Hat certification 5 years' experience in CI/CD SW development Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or similar) Semper Valens Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer Semper Valens Solutions proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer.
