As a Customer Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the following functions. Responsibilities Servicing Multi-Modality Imaging Equipment in the Santa Barbara & Oxnard, CA area. Customer Service Engineer level based on prior experience. Installing, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision. Delivering timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction. Managing financial performance within the territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control and inventory management. Managing company assets to include a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc. Establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers, and performing necessary administrative duties accurately. Qualifications Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision. Ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, and performing necessary administrative duties accurately. Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment. General understanding of the principles of electricity, power supplies, and grounding. Required Skills Minimum high school diploma; technical Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred. Proficiency in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting. Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website-Engineer Tools). 3+ years’ experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments. Valid driver’s license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required. Physical requirements: lifting 50 lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/step‑stool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high‑reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone. This role is governed by our Fleet Safety Policy. To be eligible for employment, applicants must hold a valid driver's license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law). Vendor Credentialing Requirements Position must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many clients require Siemens Healthineers employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. These requirements include: proof of valid identification, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations, annual TB testing, and healthcare training.
