Position / Specialty: CVOR Tech

Shift: 4 x 10s- 0600-1630, plus on-call requirements

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend on call- Saturday 0600 to Monday 0600

On-Call Requirement: Usually 3 days per week

Float Requirement: Will float to Main OR if needed

Holiday Requirement: 1 Holiday per term if needed

Years of experience REQ: 2 years

First-timers accepted: YES

Locals accepted: No, must live 50 miles away

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours

Cardiovascular operating room with 3 dedicated ORs, supporting 3 cardiothoracic surgeons and their Physician Assistant support. Also provide support for Hybrid OR. OR teams consist of 4 RN's. Have previously had CST travelers and would love to have a CST on the team.

Common procedures include: CABG, Valves, ECMO, TAVR, Pericardial window, Mediastinoscopy, Thoracoscopy, Thoracotomy, Carotid endarterectomy in MOR, Femoral embolectomy and femoral pseudoaneurysm repair.

Orientation will be determined per the CST comfort level up to 30 hours. All cases have 4 staff members (RNs/CSTs); all heart cases have 2 scrubs, a PA and Surgeon scrubbed in.

Free employees parking garage available, 30 minute on call response time, in house call rooms available for call shifts, room turnover and terminal clean done by room staff (RNs and CSTs with assist of 1 EVS member)
