Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a weekend-focused position at a Level II Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital in Corpus Christi, TX.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a large regional medical center and Level II Trauma Center serving the Coastal Bend area
• Academic teaching facility affiliated with the Texas A&M University System Health and Science Center College of Medicine
• Imaging MRI department performing a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI procedures
• Saturday and Sunday day shifts from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with on-call coverage Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• PACS system used; PACS Superuser responsibilities required
• May be required to work other shifts or at other campuses as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical MRI setting
• Level I or Level II hospital experience required
• MRI certification from ARRT or ARMRIT required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or approved equivalent
• Basic computer proficiency required
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures while supporting patient flow and other imaging staff
• Responsible for MRI safety screening of patients and employees
• Participate in QA, troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance, and resolve image processing and PACS archiving issues
• Expected to participate in ongoing education, safety initiatives, and technical advances within scope of licensure
• The facility is an accredited Chest Pain Center and holds Joint Commission Stroke Team accreditation
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted unless the position explicitly states otherwise
