Medical Receptionist (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: South Loop, Chicago, IL

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
  
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
  
• Verify insurance coverage and update patient demographics
  
• Collect copays, balances, and required documentation
  
• Answer and direct high-volume incoming phone calls
  
• Manage patient records and maintain accurate electronic documentation
  
• Assist providers and clinical staff with administrative support as needed
  
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and patient correspondence
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient front desk area
  
• Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities
  

Qualifications

• 1+ year of medical receptionist, patient access, or healthcare front desk experience preferred
  
• Experience with insurance verification and appointment scheduling
  
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
  
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
