A day in this role

On our Quality Assurance team in New Port Richey, FL, you’ll report to the Quality Supervisor and spend your day transforming complex requirements into approved First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR). You’ll start by logging into customer portals to review flow-downs and drawings, align with Engineering, Design, and Operations on open questions, then move to the floor to verify close-tolerance parts and sub-assemblies. Your metrology expertise underpins accurate AS9102 FAIRs built in DISCUS/Net-Inspect, culminating in timely customer approvals.

Expect an on-site schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with routine overtime to meet deliverables.

• Create and submit AS9102-compliant FAIRs using DISCUS and Net-Inspect; collaborate directly with customers to resolve issues and drive approvals.
• Review materials and process certifications from drawings, purchase orders, and customer flow-down specifications; upload and manage documentation in required FAIR portals.
• Perform in-process and final dimensional/visual inspections for three value streams—Air, Hydraulics, and Elements—ensuring conformance to drawings, documentation, and customer requirements.
• Inspect complex, close-tolerance machined parts and sub-assemblies using CMM, micrometers, calipers, bore gages, optical comparator, height gages, ring gages, and pin gages.
• Complete Government Product Lot Testing (PLT), Government First Article Testing (FAT), and FAA Conformity Testing reports.
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, and Operations to collect all necessary inputs for comprehensive and accurate FAIR packages.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 5+ years of inspection experience within Aerospace, Military, or Machining Manufacturing in ISO9001/AS9100 environments with customer flow-downs.
• 2+ years completing AS9102 First Article inspections using DISCUS; familiarity with Net-Inspect and customer portals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to access production data via SAP and/or other ERP systems.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours to meet deadlines.

• Color/vision: pass Ishihara’s Test for Color Deficiency and Jaeger Level 1 per PACS-PQ-0029; minimum 20/25 vision with correction.
• Ability to lift at least 35 lbs daily; fine hand dexterity; frequent bending, lifting, sitting, standing, and twisting for extended periods.
• Comfort working with solvents, oils, and other required chemicals.
• Travel up to 10%.
