Our current focus is on growing the platform's FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) authorization. If you're not familiar with FedRAMP, it's a US government security certification with exceedingly high standards that requires everything you've ever wanted in a solid infrastructure - precision change management, consistent backups, centralized logging, high-performance logging and alerting, all built with every effective security capability you've ever heard of.Our team is composed of seasoned engineering and security professionals comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, and technically challenging environment. You stay on top of the latest innovations and have successfully established relationships with engineering teams through collaboration, empathy, and the pursuit of technical excellence.5+ years experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS).3+ years experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible/Puppet/Chef/Salt.Experience migrating compute workloads between private, public and hybrid clouds.Experience designing building and operating complex CI/CD pipelines.Experience enabling high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring & alerts for cloud-native SaaS applications supporting a global customer base.Practical knowledge of information security (encryption, firewalls, secure systems design, vulnerability management, credential management, etc.).Deep proficiency in git and version control systems (GitLab, GitHub).You love working together as a team and have a desire to speak up, share ideas, and help your colleagues across teams.You love introducing teams to new technologies, frameworks, and points of view.Nice to HaveExperience programming Python, Golang, or Java.Experience building and maintaining infrastructures that meet FedRAMP, SOC2 or ISO27001 compliance.Knowledge of testing methodologies, monitoring, observability tools, and techniques.Familiarity with microservice architectures, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes is a huge plus.What You’ll DoTLDR - a lot! This is a sophisticated infrastructure engineering role that will involve helping the team:Design and build a brand-new, highly-secured AWS-native infrastructure providing the internal guardrails and security services necessary to deliver a FedRAMP authorized instance of Cisco's Cloud Security offering (30+services).Analyze, harden, and migrate dozens of large, complex application stacks and internal micro services partnering with dozens of diverse engineering teams.Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to transform release pipelines to deploy application code into production on highly performant DevOps pipelines.Operate infrastructure and applications to maintain security standards within the FedRAMP authorization boundary.Define scope and requirements for new services and changes inside the FedRAMP boundary in collaboration with engineering, product, trust and compliance teams to achieve certification and remediate audit findings.Provide thought leadership and domain expertise to the broader Cisco Cloud Security organization to facilitate a culture of security and privacy.Grow our no-blame culture that values learning, transparency, accountability, trust and mutual respect.Mentor and coach junior technical members of the team throughout their career journeys.Why Cisco#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.We connect everything: people, processes, data, and things.
