Space Systems EngineerThis position is located in El Segundo, CA and requires a Top Secret Polygraph clearance. The salary range is $115,000 - $250,000.Job DescriptionThe Space Systems Engineer will support the Space Systems Command (SSC) and its specialized Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets. This role is critical in advancing the United States's space capabilities to protect and enhance national security. The position will support multiple SSC programs, as well as other initiatives across the Space Force, Air Force, and allied organizations.BTAS is a woman-owned small business founded in 1995, located near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Beavercreek, OH. We are committed to working with exceptional quality and professionalism to deliver excellence to our customers, while providing our employees a stimulating and satisfying work environment as we collaborate with teammates to achieve common goals.Primary responsibilities include:Providing space acquisition and technical supportDeveloping and revising acquisition documentationPreparing technical and programmatic reportsIdentifying and recommending process improvementsMonitoring program execution and risksSupporting technical engagementsProviding mission protection and operational supportMinimum qualifications include:Highly knowledgeable in design and development of entire space systems, including subcomponentsHighly knowledgeable in multiple space operations and space control-related fieldsAt least 10 years' experience in this type of position or program is required. MA/MS degree required; however, a BA/BS degree is acceptable if the candidate possesses at least 12 years of experience in this type of position or program.This position does not supervise the work of others. The work environment is a professional office setting, and little to no travel is required.
