CNC Department Manager / Programmer/ Machinist

Job Description

Metal Stamping and CNC Shop seeking a self motivated and creative leader to contribute to the CNC department evolution. The CNC department manager must possess project ownership, leadership and Solidworks/Mastercam CAD/CAM experience. CNC programming and operator supervision will be a key aspect of the role. This is a full time position.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall project ownership from concept, through development, release to production, production training and production sustaining activities
Generate Documentation: Methods of Manufacturing (MoMs), Inspection and measurement instructions, Set-up instructions, and other documents as needed
Work collaboratively with management, quality and other peers to clarify intent and resolve issues
Maintain and evolve standardized tool libraries, templates, and macros within MasterCAM
Train and support operators in executing programs with high throughput, accuracy and quality
Program 3/4/5-axis CNC mills using CAD/CAM software

Required Experience:

5+ years of hands-on CAD/CAM programming in a metal part milling environment
Strong understanding of tooling, materials and machining best practices
Ability to interpret part drawings, and CAM-ready DXFs
Familiarity with 3/4/5 axis CNC workflows
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly customized production environment
