Assistant Store ManagerSuccessful Assistant Store Managers are responsible for providing leadership to ensure the store delivers outstanding customer service, meets all operating objectives, sales, and financial goals, and follows company policies and procedures. The Assistant Manager performs all the duties of a Customer Service Representative plus assists the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, and in the absence of the Store Manager, is responsible for directing the activities of all employees.Tasks & Responsibilities:Maintaining exemplary customer service within the store and establishing special business relationships with our customers so they will choose to do business with us rather than our competitorsAssisting the Store Manager in implementing strategies to help meet store goals and objectivesAssisting the Store Manager with recruiting, developing, and motivating store employees who exceed internal and external customer expectationsEnsuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsEstablishing a strong customer service/selling culture to maximize salesWorking as a Customer Service Representative and supervising CSR activities in the absence of the Store Manager.Assisting the Store Manager in ordering, bank deposits, and daily paperworkMust complete store paperwork at least once per weekMust complete all store orders at least once per monthMarketing within your community to increase market share and store revenuesResolving customer complaints for increased customer satisfactionAssisting the Store Manager with controlling labor hours, cash, store audits, and shrinkageHelp maintain a neat and clean store environment for our customers and employeesOther duties as assignedAttend monthly financial meeting with manager and district managerIn the absence of a store manager, Assistant Manager will perform all store dutiesRequirements:A minimum of one year management experience in industries such as hospitality, financial services, retail and restaurantHigh School graduate or equivalentAbility, willingness, and comfort to engage with customersAbility to develop positive relationships with internal and external customersStrong desire to exceed corporate initiatives and inspire excellence in a teamExcellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skillsHigh-energy, collaborative management experienceProfessional appearance and demeanorAttend the Modern Management courseCPR certifiedWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements:Must be able to work any area of the store (both inside and out) when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.Position requires bending, standing, walking and repetitive use of hands and arms the entire workday.Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.Position requires the ability to handle exposure to food and cleaning chemicals on an hourly basis.Must have the ability to work a minimum of 40 to 50 hours a week.Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be on call 24 hours a day.Must manage a number of projects at one time and handle frequent interruptions to meet the needs and requests of customersBenefits:Eligible 1st of the month, following 60 days from the date of promotionInsurance with FSAShort Term DisabilityPaid Life Insurance (Can buy extra coverage for self, spouse and children)DentalVision
