About the Position

Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Certification, GRH CPI/MOAB Must-Have: EPIC EMR Experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months Basic Dysrhythmia test proficiency prior to working in float pool Description: These positions will provide support for the unit during surge. Travelers will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of the assignment. This must be passed in order to work in this float pool. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to various patient populations including Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, Psychiatric, and Telemetry. Estimated work week consists of 36 hours with the possibility of additional hours. Every other weekend rotation and every other holiday rotation are required. Candidate will be required to float to non-critical care inpatient units, including Behavioral Health and the Emergency Department if necessary. If the traveler has critical care experience, they may also float to critical care units. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may be occasionally placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. Med/Surg ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
