About the Role:

UNDERWAY FIBERAXIS LLC is looking for a motivated Directional Drilling Laborer to join our growing team in Arcanum, OH. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll play a vital part in underground infrastructure projects that connect communities. Responsibilities:

• Assist with horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations on underground utility and fiber installation projects
• Support drill operators with equipment setup, breakdown, and daily maintenance
• Handle and prepare drilling materials, including drill pipe, boring tools, and conduit
• Operate hand tools and light equipment to support excavation and site preparation
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with safety regulations and protocols
• Assist with locating and marking underground utilities prior to drilling
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements:

• Prior experience in directional drilling, underground utilities, or construction is a plus
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license with a reliable means of transportation
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-first attitude
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and OSHA standards on job sites
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
