Position Overview

The Landscape Foreman is a working supervisor who leads a 3–5-person crew in the field, overseeing landscape installation and maintenance projects. This position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and hands‑on execution. In addition to managing daily site activities, the Foreman serves as a liaison between crew members, clients, and Operations Managers. Design‑build Foremen must be able to read and interpret plans and ensure projects are implemented to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a 3–5-person landscape crew on installation and maintenance projects
• Assign and oversee daily tasks to ensure timely, high-quality work
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe job site at all times
• Enter electronic timesheets for yourself and crew daily

Communication & Coordination

• Act as primary on-site point of contact for clients and property managers
• Report progress and issues to Operations Managers in a timely manner
• Coordinate with internal teams for materials, scheduling, and logistics

Technical Execution & Plan Reading- only needed for Design/Build foreman

• Read and interpret construction drawings and landscape plans (required for design‑build roles)
• Ensure proper installation of plant materials, hardscaping, drainage, and other landscape elements
• Identify and resolve on-site challenges with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of landscape installation or maintenance experience
• Prior leadership or crew supervision experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read and follow landscape plans (design‑build experience required)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift/carry 50–80 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
