Finance Expert: Remote Contract - Lake Mack-Forest Hills

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring experienced finance professionals to build and evaluate financial analyses — spreadsheets, models, valuations, and financial statements — and then work alongside AI to assess that work. You'll construct, review, and quality-check finance workflows the way you would on a deal team, and your judgment becomes the standard these systems are measured against. Every task you complete helps improve how the technology reasons about financial information. This is remote, flexible, contract work — a strong fit for finance professionals who want focused, high-quality work on their own schedule: between roles, alongside other commitments, or as a supplement to current work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and review financial models — three-statement, DCF, LBO, valuation, and operating models — in Excel and Google Sheets
• Evaluate and quality-check AI-generated financial analyses for accuracy, sound logic, and defensible methodology
• Catch errors, inconsistencies, and flawed assumptions the way you would reviewing a junior analyst's work
• Follow detailed guidelines to produce clear, well-documented, defensible analysis

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Finance professionals with hands-on modeling experience and strong analytical judgment
• People who take accuracy seriously and can follow detailed instructions consistently
• Comfortable in Excel and Google Sheets and fluent in standard financial conventions
• Clear written communicators who can explain their reasoning
• Reliable, detail-obsessed, and committed to high-quality work

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years in investment banking, private equity, private credit, corporate development, corporate finance, or FP&A (or equivalent deal and financial-analysis experience)
• Hands-on financial modeling experience (valuation, three-statement, LBO/DCF, or operating models)
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Clear written communication skills
• Reliable internet connection and computer
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Must be based in the US or Canada

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience at an investment bank, a PE or private-credit fund, or in a corporate M&A / transactions group
• Direct exposure to live deals and transaction processes
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
