Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage, continuous assessment, and prioritization of care.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, perform phlebotomy as needed, and monitor patient responses.
- Recognize and intervene in life-threatening situations; respond to emergent codes and ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; may assume duties as charge nurse when assigned.
- Document clinical findings and care using the MEDITECH electronic medical record; ensure accuracy and timely updates.
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals as appropriate; manage transitions of care.

Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- MEDITECH EMR experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Ability to work in a high-intensity ED environment; must demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and effective communication
- Orientation-required certifications: IV therapy, medication administration, and phlebotomy; defibrillation certification within six months of employment; lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
