Production Control Supervisor

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Production Control Supervisor to lead a team of 6–8 professionals responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer orders, production scheduling, and capacity planning. This role is critical to ensure on‑time delivery and driving continuous improvement across operations. Responsibilities Lead and manage the Production Control team to ensure timely and accurate order processing, scheduling, and fulfillment aligned with customer delivery expectations. Analyze production workflows and capacity constraints to identify bottlenecks and implement data‑driven solutions that improve throughput and reduce lead times. Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, planning, and inventory teams to identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement in order flow and prioritization. Develop and maintain a dynamic production schedule that aligns with customer demand, resource availability, and operational constraints. Establish supplier partnerships that enhance production flexibility and supplement in‑house manufacturing efforts. Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders and customers regarding delivery changes due to production delays, inventory shortages, or equipment issues. Review and forecast customer demand for the Machine Shop, ensuring alignment with production capabilities and inventory planning. Provide coaching and feedback to team members, conduct performance evaluations, and support career development in alignment with the Laitram Continuous Improvement Program. Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration through clear communication, mentorship, and team engagement. Partner with Manufacturing Supervisors and other stakeholders to support data‑driven decisions related to labor allocation, equipment utilization, and process optimization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering and/or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, project management, or customer service leadership. At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience. Experience working in an ERP system, Oracle preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret complex data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational skills with a track record of successfully executing key initiatives. Demonstrated structured and methodical approach to problem‑solving. Preferred Qualifications Background in manufacturing analysis or project management. Familiarity with LEAN principles and their practical application. Hands‑on experience in machine shop, metal fabrication, or production environments.
