Role Overview:  

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, documenting, and processing incoming goods and materials. This role verifies deliveries against purchase orders and ensures all items meet established quality and quantity standards before entering inventory.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent  required . 
• Valid Driver’s License  required . 
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience preferred . 
• Forklift certification/experience preferred . 

Knowledge and Skills

• The use of conversational, analytical, and observational skills which demonstrate an ability to organize. 
• Ability to directly interface with all members of the workforce and management. 
• Communication skills and the ability to properly interact with individuals of all backgrounds. 
• Knowledge of basic computer skills. 
• Maintain a professional appearance according to company standards. 

Physical Requirements

• Standing, sitting, walking, bending, carrying items, use of hands, arms, ears, and voice. 
• Must be able to balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. 
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50lbs. 
• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods. 
• Must be able to talk and hear regularly.

Mental Requirement

• Language ability includes reading, writing, spelling, and the ability to orally communicate  clearly on technical and business topics in English. 

Work Environment 

This role is in a warehouse setting including exposure to extreme heat or cold and high noise levels. Exposure to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration are possible. This is a full-time position requiring availability Monday through Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM with rotational Saturdays, 8:00AM – 2:00PM.

Authority

• Does not have the authority to obligate FCWGS/BMR/Bubany in any contract. 
• Does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Inspect incoming goods for damage, defects, and quantity, quality, or specification discrepancies. 
• Reconcile discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips; coordinate with Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and vendors to obtain credits or replacement items. 
• Properly label, route, and store received materials in designated locations. 
• Track backorders and special orders to ensure timely receipt and delivery. 
• Process RMA documentation for product returns. 

• Record receiving information accurately in company systems to maintain reliable inventory.
• Maintain current product and industry knowledge by attending training sessions, participating in educational workshops, and reviewing relevant professional materials. 
• Maintain the physical condition of the facility in accordance with company standards and communicate maintenance needs to the Location Manager. 
• Follow safe work practices and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
• Protect company information by maintaining confidentiality and following established information handling procedures. 
• Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies. 
• Support team operations by collaborating with coworkers and completing related tasks to meet departmental and company objectives. 
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
