More information about the group and its dealerships can be found at Role Description This full-time, on-site Salesperson role is based at our Gilroy, CA dealership. The Salesperson will greet customers, understand their needs and preferences, and guide them through the vehicle selection and test‑drive process. Daily responsibilities include presenting product features and benefits, explaining pricing and financing options, completing sales paperwork, and coordinating with finance and service teams to ensure a smooth customer experience. The role also involves following up with prospective and existing customers, maintaining product knowledge for multiple brands, and helping maintain an organized and welcoming showroom. The Salesperson is expected to meet individual and team sales goals while delivering professional, courteous service that reflects Gill Automotive Group’s values. Qualifications Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate clearly with a diverse customer base. Sales and negotiation abilities, including experience or interest in consultative selling, closing deals, and meeting performance targets. Basic automotive knowledge or a willingness to quickly learn vehicle features, trims, and financing options across multiple brands. Organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple customers, follow‑ups, and documentation accurately and efficiently. Comfort with technology, including CRM systems, dealership software, email, and mobile communication tools. High level of professionalism, reliability, and ethical conduct, with a commitment to delivering a positive customer experience. Ability to work onsite in Gilroy, CA, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by dealership hours. Previous retail, sales, or automotive experience is preferred but not required; training is available for motivated candidates. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in sales or business are a plus.
