Radiological Technologist - as needed

Newport News, Virginia **Overview** The Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting is responsible for performing radiology exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.* Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care. Follows ALARA principles according to policy.* Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Reports variances.* Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation.
