- Do you enjoy transforming complex welding know‑how into engaging learning experiences?
- Can you select the right teaching method—hands‑on lab, demo, or workshop—to boost skills fast?
- Are you comfortable coaching field support teams and customers on mission‑critical procedures?
- End‑to‑end development of in‑house product and process training for shipyard welding and related support roles.
- Research and collection of technical inputs to craft accurate training materials and courseware.
- Methodology selection (e.g., classroom, practical demonstrations) and creation of training aids.
- Delivery of training sessions plus definition of success metrics to gauge impact.
- Partnership with specialized technical trainers when deeper expertise is required.
- Ongoing lesson plan updates to reflect new requirements and the latest technical information.
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of progressive professional and/or supervisory experience; or
- Master’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's degree or other formal 2-year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
- Welding background
