Billing Coordinator

Benefits: Employee discounts Health insurance Paid time off About the Role: Western Pacific Psychological is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Billing Coordinator to join our growing team in Van Nuys, CA. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the financial operations of a dynamic behavioral health organization where your work directly supports quality patient care. Responsibilities: Process and submit medical/insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances and unpaid claims Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services Post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve billing disputes and claim rejections Prepare and review billing reports to identify trends and discrepancies Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding Requirements: 1-3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a behavioral health or mental health setting Familiarity with CPT codes, ICD-10 coding, and insurance claim processes Experience with electronic health record (EHR) and practice management software Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial insurance billing procedures Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and insurance representatives Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment About Us: Western Pacific Psychological is a trusted provider of psychological and behavioral health services serving the greater Los Angeles area.
